The same official piece records that Lewis Hamilton holds the Monza pole-position record on his own, with seven. The lap record at the circuit stands to Lando Norris of McLaren at 1m 20.901s, set in 2025. The circuit measures 5.793km and staged the first Italian Grand Prix of the world championship in 1950.
Monza has hosted every Italian Grand Prix since then with one exception: the 1980 race, which was held at Imola. Formula1.com also puts 47 overtakes at the 2025 race and a roughly 50 per cent historical probability of a safety car.
The 2026 Italian Grand Prix runs from 4 to 6 September and is round 13 of a 23-race season, per Formula1.com's official calendar. Practice one and practice two are on Friday, qualifying is at 16:00 local time on Saturday, and the race is 53 laps from 15:00 local time on Sunday.
