Wyndham Clark won the 2026 BMW Championship at Bellerive Country Club on Sunday at 17 under par, three shots clear of Patrick Cantlay at 14 under, with Rory McIlroy third at 13 under, per the PGA TOUR's own final-round wrap and the Associated Press report carried by NBC.
Clark began the day five ahead and closed with an even-par 70, which is the least comfortable way to win by three. "Darth Vader had more fun," he said afterwards. "I wasn't really nervous. I was kind of like out of it. When I made the putt on the par 3, it got me back. I'm really proud of myself that I didn't let it get away."
It is his third win of 2026, which he called his best year yet.
The more consequential arithmetic happened below him. The BMW Championship is the second event of the FedEx Cup playoffs and only the top 30 go to the Tour Championship at East Lake. Patrick Cantlay arrived 43rd and closed with three straight birdies for a 68 to play his way in. Gary Woodland and Robert MacIntyre also moved into the 30, and Ryan Fox took the last place. Rickie Fowler, Bud Cauley and Kurt Kitayama fell out.
The winner's share was $3.6m from a $20m purse.
